Queen Bee just became the number one artist who has won the most Grammys in HISTORY!
All this in not one, not two, but THREE jaw-dropping custom-made designer outfits.
As a loyal member of the beehive, I could never blame her for being late to the show. Looking as good as she did takes time and effort! The following three designers who dressed her, know that:
1. Balmain
Olivier Rousteing outdid himself on this one. Starting off the night fashionably (no pun intended) late, she sure made an impression when entering in this baby pink velvet Balmain gown. The gown has a deep V neck, giving us a peek at the metallic golden bustier that’s worn underneath. Very in-trend! The showstopper of this look, nonetheless, is her golden hat, seemingly made from the same metallic material, in the shape of a disc. Is this Olivier’s reference to a gold record disc?
Notice how Balmain’s instagram page deleted ALL of its pictures, except this one! Not only did Beyoncé make history, so did Olivier.
Truly a breaking point in the history and upcoming of Balmain. I sure saw it coming ;-).
2. Gucci
In her second outfit, the one in which she accepted her Grammy on stage, Beyoncé wore a custom Gucci gown. Similar to the first gown, this one has metallic features, lots of volume in the skirt, and a bustier. It seems this dress is the opposite of the first: a baby pink velvet bustier under a silver metallic dress. Coincidence?
3. Schiaparelli
To finish off the night, Beyoncé changed into an all-black custom Schiaparelli gown, matching her husband Jay-Z. This gown was once again made from a velvet material and paired with matching opera gloves. We also see a structured, bustier-like top once again. This one in line with Schiaparelli’s 2023 catwalk during Paris Fashion Week, where we saw different dresses that had a stiff, square neckline. Gorgeous!
Now, the Queen won four (FOUR!) Grammy’s this year, making a total of 32 Grammys to the name of Beyoncé. As you’ve undoubtedly heard, this makes her the most awarded artist in Grammys history. Her first Grammy is for best dance/electronic album, Renaissance. Second is for Best R&B Song, “Cuff It”, from the same Renaissance album. Third, she won Best Electronic/Dance Performance, and lastly, she won Best Traditional R&B Performance.
